We are pleased to have once again taken part in the Tunnel Forum. This time, the meeting took place in Rzeszów, directly related to the construction of three tunnels on the S19 road in the Podkarpackie region. IVIA was the lead designer of the longest tunnel in Poland, located along the S3 road near Kamienna Góra, with a length of 2,300 meters, excavated using the NATM (Austrian Tunneling Method). The contractor for this section was PORR, and traffic through the tunnel has been operational since July 2024.
Currently, IVIA is carrying out design work for the S19 Lutcza–Domaradz section for the company Kolin, where a tunnel will be constructed using the same method, with a length of 900 meters. It is an honor for us to participate in projects that contribute to modern infrastructure and enhance the expertise of Polish design teams in tunnel construction.
